About Dr. Anisha Varghese

Welcome! I am Dr. Anisha Varghese, a Registered Psychologist who specialises in therapy and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.

I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Waterloo before I relocated to beautiful British Columbia for my residency at BC Children’s Hospital. I am humbled to work, live, and play on the unceded territory of the Tsleil-Waututh, Stó:lō, Squamish, and Musqueam.

After my residency, I worked in a number of programs and clinics at Sunny Hill Health Centre and BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH). I currently work with the BCCH Medical Psychology team, which involves inpatient and outpatient treatment of health-related challenges, including stress associated with health conditions, procedural anxiety, and pain. During my three years at Sunny Hill, I completed assessments of neurodevelopmental and associated conditions as part of the Complex Developmental and Behavioural Conditions (CDBC) program. I also previously worked with the BCCH Provincial ADHD Clinic and conducted assessments for ADHD and co-occurring conditions and group intervention for parent-led behavioural management of ADHD symptoms. My hospital roles also allow me to invest time in my passion for supervision, teaching, and consultation.

I am a registrant (#2396) in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (into which the College of Psychologists of BC amalgamated).
